Admit it, despite a few annoying things—like slow left-lane drivers on I-70 or mosquitoes that target your face in the summer—you still think Missouri is a pretty kick-ass place. Subscribe to The Pure Missouri Post to get all the fun things delivered directly to your in-box about once a month—without as much of the annoying stuff.
Never miss a timely update
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new issue of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox, and we won’t overwhelm you with emails beyond the quality issues we publish.
Your information remains private
When you subscribe for free, we (Pure Missouri) receive your email address — and nothing more. Not your name, not your address — nothing. And we will never sell or trade or otherwise share that email address with anyone.
If you provide any additional information or opinions through our “Welcome” email (where we ask to get to know you), that data also will remain private and will not be sold or shared.
(See privacy, terms and information collection notice at the bottom of this page for more details from platform-provider Substack.)
It’s free now, and will always have free elements
There are several ways to monetize a newsletter, and we are investigating those options, but mostly this is for fun. The chief concern for us right now is to show you what we can do, build your trust, build a community, and provide great content.
No matter if, or how, we choose to monetize (paid content, ads, sponsors, donations, special projects, crowd-funding) we will always have some free content for everyone.

Yes, there are some of us who will admit to living in KC and loving a weekend in St. Louis—or vice versa. We enjoy jazz at 18th & Vine as much as we appreciate bluegrass in Conway or Curryville. We’re proud when any Show Me State school, no matter how big or small, wins a national championship (we’re looking at you, Missouri Valley, Northwest Missouri, SEMO, UCM and others). We may live in the city or the country, but we relish day trips to all parts of the state.
When it comes down to it, if you live, work or play in the Show Me State, you can be Pure Missouri, too. So come join us at The Pure Missouri Post, send us your Missouri tips and ideas, and become a part of our discussions.
